Nice mountain town. Wish it had more restaurants and activities, but if you want a quiet getaway, this is a good place. It is nearly two miles up, so don't push yourself too hard and be sure to see Cedar Breaks!

Took my 5 year old to the tubing hill. It's a great hill and I would recommend it to anyone looking to have a great time in the snow!

10:00-11:30

After living in Colorado for 25 yrs, and being used to the money extraction machines that pass for resorts there, Brian Head is a huge breath of fresh air. The snow and runs are wonderful, and it's large enough to challenge all skill levels. Lift tickets are reasonable, especially if you go during the week (which also makes the lift lines short). Best of all, you don't feel like you're being raped when you need to buy some food or equipment. Prices in the lodges and shops are surprisingly reasonable.

My husband and I visited Brian Head for our honeymoon. We stayed near the resort and so we decided to go snowboarding there as well. This was my first time trying a snow sport and when I advised the cashier of this at Navajo Ski Resort, she advised me of a special discount they were doing. I was able to take a 2.5 hour snowboarding lesson for only $45 and that included my rentals as well! On top of this, I was the only person there that had never been snowboarding before and so I got private lessons for it! Jordan C was my snowboarding instructor and he was phenomenal! He was very patient with me as he was teaching me the basics to snowboarding. He was also very encouraging and advised me of when I was doing something right as well as assisted me when I was having a hard time learning a move. I felt comfortable advising him of my fears with the ski lift (I have a fear of heights). Jordan was able to explain to me the best way to tackle the ski lift. Even when my lesson was over, Jordan assured me that he was not going to leave me alone while going down the mountain. Jordan stayed by my side until I got to the bottom of the mountain comfortably. Jordan is an asset for the ski resort to have and I wish that everyone would be able to have him as their instructor!

11:30-1:00

The issue I had has to do with how they time the sessions. They only sell tickets in 90 minute windows which at the time of this review are:

This is not stated clearly on the tubing section of the website. So we showed up at noon and had to either sit and wait for an hour or pay full price for 2/3 of a session.

1:00-2:30

So while it's a great activity, they need to either spell that out or just give you a 90 minute window.

2:30-4:00

We always enjoy Brian Head Resort being from Southern California with their ridiculously long lift lines. On a crowded day at Brian Head, there may be 5 people in front of you.
